Here's the Story:
I'd been aware of the MarketGauge.com site for quite awhile, and was intrigued to learn more about their approach to trading, since they also use open-range breakout tactics.
Keith's site, at www.MarketGauge.com, provides educational resources and training via their HotScans, Open Range Success Formula course and more.

I contacted Keith to see about the doing an interview with him, and he agreed, so we did our interview her in July 2010.
Here's the questions I asked Keith Schneider, and his thoughtful answers. You can follow along with the questions as you listen to the interview if you wish. |
In the actual audio interview, you'll hear answers to these practical active trader questions (and more):
Question 1: Tell our traders a little about yourself — what's your background; how you got started with trading, and what you do to help educate and train traders?
Question 2: How do you teach your traders to manage entry signals, is there a favorite setup that you use? What's a technical pattern that you like as a favorite setup that you show traders how to trade?
Question 3: What's your approach to managing risk? How do you teach traders to set stops, and what's an example of a typical risk:reward ratio you'd use in trading?
Question 4: Many traders deal with discipline issues, taking too many wide stops and not keeping to a defined trading plan. What advice would you give traders when it comes to managing discipline more professionally in their trades?
Question 5: Keith, you're an authority on trading open range breakouts -- what can you tell traders about trading the opening range, and why it's so important that traders learn this important trading technique?
Question 6: Now you've got a lot of resources at your site, www.MarketGauge.com, which has your HotScans, Open Range Success Formula system and other resources -- can you tell our traders a little bit about what you've got to offer, and how they can take the first step in working with you?
