TODAY'S
PALTALK PASSWORD IS: (n/a) Welcome to DTU's
Live AudioCast Active Traders' Seminar Time:
2 hrs Start: 12 Noon EST End: 2pm EST Learning
Points: 1) Multiple positions: As in daytrading, it is best
to diversify your entries by trading and actively managing a number of simultaneous
positions rather than 1 or 2 at a time. This does not mean keeping a 'dog pound'
of losing stocks. This means keeping a focused group of 8-12 open swing positions,
100-500 shares each, for a max 10-day roundtrip. 2) Scanning: Use 10-day
sector charts to identify which sectors (finance, defense, retail, semis, biotech,
software, 'nets) have the strongest recent sustained trends and breakouts. Use
www.stockcharts.com and www.bigcharts.com
scans, along with commercial scanners like Tony Oz's. Stock must trade >1M
shares and most are priced at least $30/share. Prefer 52-week high/lows, volume
gap stocks, and CCI buy/sell triggers. 3) ADX: as a volatility indicator,
I like to see it trending or above 35-40, above both DMI lines, at around the
time I am entering each swing position. I am entering Because of increased volatility
and volume in the stock. A declining ADX indicates a consolidating/flat/choppy
pattern, which I avoid. I scan for volatile, high volume range breakouts. 4)
10-Day
Breakouts: The Turtles used 20-day breakouts. I use 10-day swingtrading breakouts,
and 2-day daytrading breakouts. Favorite Technical patterns include: simple trend
continuations, gap up/down continuations, and recent 2-3 days' increasing volume
breakouts above 10-day high/below 10-day low. 5) Stops and Risk Management:
I will use the max of the previous day's high/low, often using no more than 1
to 1.5 pts max stop/trailing stop.

OUR CHARTS CLEARLY (IE 6+): To See our Charts clearly, running
IE 6+: Be sure to go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and scroll down
to "Multimedia" and UNCHECK where it says "Enable Automatic Image Resizing"
Tthis is an unwanted new default IE 6 feature that resizes images to fit the current
