Welcome to DTU's Live AudioCast Active Traders' Seminar

Time: 2 hrs
Start: 12 Noon EST
End: 2pm EST

Learning Points:

1) Next to spotting breakout rallies with time and sales, learning how to recognize when the trend is fading, volume is drying up, is an essential professional trading skill

2) You must use time and sales in combination with sector, trin, 1-minute candlestick, and other market internals indicators to spot trading patterns of value.

3) Pivots and Reversals: Spotting these using time and sales requires you to be able to see New incoming Volume in the pivot direction. Daytrading University's Large-Blocks & tape-speed approach is applicable.

4) Entering pivots/fades: Tape: Must learn to differentiate between exiting initial position trades from new incoming pivot trades in the tape. Plus know the chart: looking for at least 2 counter 1-min candles in a row (eg two red candles following sharp move up, or two green candles following sharp move down, to edge of average intraday trading range), on sharp-slope moves.

What does it take? An adept, observant and fast trading style is required. Must be able to follow both the 1-minute candle along with tape simultaneously.
You also need to have a professional tape, we recommend eSignal.com for charts and data.

This is what most traders look at for time and sales. Nice and basic:

This is a professional eSignal tape as used by Daytrading University: note we use the Sizes column on
the far right in addition to the typical time/sales/size columns. It makes a big difference:

====== TIPS for SEEING OUR CHARTS CLEARLY (IE 6+):

To See our Charts clearly, running IE 6+:
Be sure to go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced
and scroll down to "Multimedia" and UNCHECK where it says "Enable Automatic Image Resizing"
Tthis is an unwanted new default IE 6 feature that resizes images to fit the current browser window size,
it makes our charts more difficult to see, so Uncheck it.
