Learning Points:

1) Developing breakout trading skills requires you to overcome the "fear of chasing or buying a top" by learning how to trade breakouts early in the stock's average trading range, early within a 10-minute move.

2) Combining multiple trading signals is critical to avoid false breakouts and buying tops. Knowing how to use ADX with volume, candles and sector percent change moves is important, along with timing skills.

3) Timing for breakouts stays within 10-minute round trips during the 9:30-10am timeframe, and for 20 minute max timeframes within the 10-11am timeframe. Learning price and COMPQ elasticity and pattern recognition is critical.

4) Breakout trading should be done with several simultaneous positions in the strongest 1-2 sectors, eg 3-5 positions at a time. Diversify your positions and limit risk on any one play. Capitalize/leverage on strong moves by trading several stocks at once in strong breakout timeframes.

5) Risk management: trail .2 max stops on all breakouts, partial out 1/2 positions at first sign of stall in time and sales, exit the balance if the trailing stop gets taken out. Also consider selling in the .8-.95 area under whole number resistance, then getting back in over the whole number if it continues later. Sit out the high-risk areas in the charts.
