Welcome to DTU's Live AudioCast Active Traders' Seminar
Time: 2 hrs
Start: 10am EST
End: 12 Noon EST

Preparing for Today's Seminar -- Please review this active trader magazine article:
http://www.activetradermag.com/special/calhoun.htm

Primary Trading Techniques:

1.
Daytrading University's 2-day high/low breakout strategy aka "Escaping Gravity"
Guideline: The best trading potential always exists when stocks are trading outside of
their previous day's trading ranges. Learn how to capitalize on stocks in motion that are
making new 2-day highs and lows, as a primary trading style.

2. DTU's Filtering and Scanning strategy: Think of each new trade in terms of "most likely
outcome
" over next 15-20 minutes, and integrate the idea of trading signals vs noise.
Next, Learn how to visually filter the patterns using 1-minute 2-day candlestick charts, TRIN,
sector, e-mini and time and sales for entry confirmations (and 'red flags' to avoid!).

3. Trading the Open: Making the first 60 Minutes Work for You: We like to trade the majority
of all entries during the 9:40 - 10:30am time window of each session, where volatility is usually
the strongest. Spot the 9:40/9:50/10am potential breakout and pivot times using tape volume.

4.
How to Avoid False Breakouts and Get In on Strong Moves: There are many specific
safeguards that traders can take to help minimize stop-outs on false/weak breakouts, as well as
capitalize on strong breakout continuations. Examples include: multiple positions in strongest
moving sectors with P&L stop management, tape reading increments of .10s, use of whole number
and fibonacci s/r levels and more.

5.
Gap Continuations: Trading IN the Direction of the Gap (preferred): learn how to 1st set
initial support and resistance using premarket charts, at the nearest whole numbers. Next, decide
on specific long/short triggers designed to capture at least 30% of the first major gap move.
We use
tighter-than-average trailing stops (.1 to .15) on volume gap continuation plays.

6. Gap Reversals/Fades: Trading a Reversal Gap Open (only for gaps >10%): for the most-volatile
gap open stocks, we set inside range (trade direction going Into the 2-day high/low) entry triggers using
a minimum of .7 above the premarket high (longs), or a minimum of .7 below the premarket low (shorts),
away from the nearest whole number.

7.
Fibonacci Gap Fills (using the 50% range): for gap reversal plays, we look at the 50% midpoint of the
premarket gap range as the maximum trade potential. We scale out of 1/2 position automatically as stock
price moves closer to the 50% retracement level, trailing an ever-closer stop as it nears this value.
